Some folks have asked about 4- and 5-axis support for milling or printing.

Hyrel software, hardware, and firmware can absolutely support 4- and 5-axis printing. However, the slicer we include (Prusa Slicer as of 2023) does not generate 4- and 5-axis gcode generation.

For generating gcode for machining/milling/drilling operations, we recommend SimplyCAM, a great, inexpensive program from https://www.mr-soft.net/en/scam.html

For generating gcode for printing with 4 or 5 axes, you might want to check out https://github.com/FreddieHong19/Open5x

For generating non-planar gcode, this software has been suggested (we have not tried it): https://github.com/Zip-o-mat/Slic3r/tree/nonplanar

When configuring your software, please remember that we use absolute volumetric E-values and Repitier-flavor firmware.
